Building 3D Earth Models: Updated

For those with interest in the recent eruptions in Iceland and with interest  in Photogrammetry 3D models of the earth, here is a 3D model of the eruptions.   Still under development. First is a simplified Youtube Demo, then a more complete system.  We had done similar and simplified models at the time with forestry asset and access views.  Want to know how your physical geographic assets can be tracked?   These constructed with aircraft captured data.  Would like to see how this could be built and maintained by LIDAR.   This overall is a good intro to what can be done.   More to follow if there is interest.

And here is the complete model by the Icelandic Institute of Natural History:

3D models of the eruption site at Geldingadalir created by the photogrammetry department of the Icelandic Institute of Natural History. The photographs are taken from an aircraft and processed in Agisoft Metashape. The models are developed in collaboration with the Civil Protection and Emergency Management of Iceland, The National Land Survey of Iceland and the University of Iceland. ....
