In the WSJ: Excellent piece on how book reading is now less than a solitary activity with e-books. The new books are also reading you and gathering and leveraging deep analytics about this activity.

Having read through the WSJ article I am beginning to wonder about the big picture of Amazon also collecting purchase data on us as well as music and movie rental data. it is possible that they might be able to build a better profile than the government. They surely have access to all our credit data as well.
