Supply Chains and the Internet of Things

Thoughts by Microsoft and others.   This was an area we examined assuming that RFID tagging would become ubiquitous.  Tagging in some of the supply chain exists today.  And we now have devices of all sorts showing their locations and status.  The IOT will lead to a further spread of the idea.  So how will this new transparency lead to more efficient supply chains?   Have worked with large enterprises and startups addressing these questions.
