OODA Loop

Nice piece on the history and implementation of John Boyd's OODA Loop....  The OODA Loop describes how to make decisions and act on them using a four-stage model: Observation, Orientation (perhaps better labeled Interpretation), Decision, and Action....  Every new hire should read this and remember it.
