Good interview with Alan Kay.  Developer of Smalltalk. We talked to him long ago about the use of 'object oriented' methods for making development more efficient.  That worked, partially, but has not yet brought development capabilities down to the 'people' yet.  its still complex and technical.  Inspirational speaker and writer.  Kay is now at the Viewpoints Research Institute, which gives you an idea of some of his recent work.  The Institute talks about Design for Learning.
