A DSC followup on a previous piece on the use of ontologies, organized ways to look at knowledge and leverage it against solving real business problems. These kinds of problems use real terminology that refers to real data. Keeping those definitions up to date and useful is the job of an ontology. Especially important as AI and machine learning methods are more closely tied to live business process. The data and its business definition must be correct.
