Data Scientists as Future CEOs

Are data scientist the model for future CEOs?    Data science certainly needs the ability to search for new sources of income and efficiently delivering it.    New data and contexts have to be continually reviewed.  But that does not make a Data scientist a CEO.  The word scientist itself, suggesting a need for raw discovery, sometimes clashes with pure management roles.  A scientist is often a specialist, a CEO a generalist manager who inspires and needs to bring many people and skills together.    Sometimes, but often not the same thing.
