Is Innovation no Longer Driving Growth?
In the Economist: A pessimistic view that is challenged. With some useful statistics along the way. " ... Has the world run out of ideas? ... Some economists argue the colossal gains of the past two centuries were driven by a single burst of technological advances -- and that the momentum of that surge is now fading, leaving the planet in the grips of a "great stagnation." That's probably too pessimistic, argues The Economist, although it's true many advanced economies are too set in their ways to adapt to truly revolutionary innovations.... "
