Lindstrom and Graphic US Cigarette Packaging
In the news this week word that the US is changing its Cigarette packaging to remove the text health warning and replacing them with graphic scare images. I was interested about how brand innovator Martin Lindstrom would react to this, since one of his claims to fame, published in his book Buyology: Truth and Lies About How We Buy, were that a similar approach, used in other countries for years, was not effective. I asked him, and he has published his response on Facebook. An early alert to the integration of neuroscience and marketing, driving non-conscious effect.
