Thinking like a Programmer
In the CACM recently. There is real value in being able to think like a programmer. It's like being able to think like an accountant. Logical, precision, and being able to care about how the recipients of your work will deal with it. Not to say that everyone needs programming skills to get these results. But it is one way.
