Designing AI Systems that Obey Laws and Values
In the CACM. The currently much discussed issues of laws, ethics and values for advanced computation. Usually applied to AI, but really also applicable to any kind of system as it interacts with humans. Consider even the use of assistants. The broader argument has been applied by some even to marketing and advertising over the years. Advertising is seen as assistance for a purchase decision. As we approach new intelligence new challenges will emerge.
