Amazon Dot Throughout the Home

A clever short ad about the Amazon Dot, the new cheaper mini version of the Amazon Echo virtual assistant and smart home enabler.  Just released this week.  Have used the Echo since release, have a Dot on order. [Just installed on another floor to test ]  Have been exploring Smart home applications since 2000.

What the ad shows is the potential, and I assume Amazon goal, of having a device of this type in every room in a home.  With each room in the smart home having its needs and implications for use.

And entertainment and information delivery lubricating the interaction. No keyboards or screens in sight.   The ad takes your through a stroll through this smart home. Will Amazon be controlling the voice channel for many kinds of home product procurement this way?
