Big Data and Social Science

A number of interesting items in the Edge about the implications of new models, and most notable to me the implications of Big Data, for social science.   Social Science has always had the problem of not having enough causal elements to construct a 'science' in the usual sense.  Leaving it with a kind of physics envy.  But now, with many saying that Big Data allows the use of correlation over causation in new ways, will make it easier to make a science of social.  The data is being gathered now.   Ready to use it?
