I happened on a demonstration of
Talking Tag by
Air Arts via
Ven Chava while I was in Chicago yesterday. A clever and simple idea that attaches an audio track (or other kinds of content) to a post-it or other kind of attachable label. The tag, identified by a 2D barcode, can then be placed on anything. They showed a simple yellow sticky example. The tag can then be read with a smartphone, which speaks or shows the content. We set it up on my IPhone in a few minutes. Another example of the IPhone as a sensor, and about identifying and interactively augmenting things. Well done, thinking about applications. Check it out.
