Data Science in the Amazon Supply Chain

I worked in the design and implementation of supply chain systems for many years in the enterprise. The following article gives a high level overview of what a category and technology leader, Amazon, is doing in this space today.

   It also illustrates the breadth of what is considered supply chain in the enterprise.   Slightly disagree that all of this is 'optimization'.  It is mostly incremental improvement of complex decision processes .... under rapidly changing context.
