A good, nontechnical infographic that describes commonly used simple statistics. Just enough to use with non-technical management and decision makers. Make sure to follow up with examples from your own data to make the usage clear.

How Much Data do we Generate?
Usually not a fan of infographics, but this one makes the case well, click through for it. Sounds good, but experience tells me its still not that all the data that you will need.
Domo’s Latest ‘Data Never Sleeps’ Infographic – Just How Much Data Are We Generating Now?
Staff report in Datanami
Domo – a cloud software company based in Utah – has released the seventh annual iteration of its popular “Data Never Sleeps” infographic. The infographic, which was introduced in 2013, highlights the scale of global data by presenting the amount of data generated every minute on popular apps and social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Twitch, and Tinder.
The numbers – as always – are staggering. The infographic shows that almost 700,000 aggregate hours of Netflix are watched every minute – an increase, Domo says, of 614 percent over last year’s report. Similarly, the report saw a 21 percent increase in use of Tinder and a 12 percent increase in photos shared per minute on Instagram. .... "

Driving AI Adoption in the Enterprise
Interesting infographic style view look at this question, driven by Forrester surveys. In particular how enterprises are choosing to do work in this area, an area I was involved in in previous attempts to bring in this and related technologies.
Forrester Data Infographic: Who’s Driving AI Adoption In The Enterprise?
Elizabeth Cullen, Researcher
There’s no doubt that artificial intelligence (AI) and its underlying technology building blocks are top of mind for enterprises today. But who’s driving this change and its adoption within their organizations?
On the surface, it may appear that AI is yet another technology that firms will expect their technology organization to champion, evaluate, and bolt onto existing systems — as opposed to letting their business leaders drive the charge. Yet the Forrester Data Global Business Technographics® Data And Analytics Survey, 2017 reveals a nuanced view of AI adoption. We found that business technology decision makers (TDMs), i.e., those technologists aligned with a business unit, are the ones driving AI adoption within their firms, more so than traditional technology decision makers who are aligned with the tech organization. .... Infographics and Data Science Visual Resources
DSC does its usually good job of pulling together lots of interesting visual resources. " ... They come in various shapes: infographics, cheat sheets, periodic tables, one-picture articles, and even maps. They cover everything: IoT, AI, machine learning, data science, deep learning, Hadoop, Python, R, dataviz, statistical theory, big data - you name it. Below is a selection that is most relevant to our readers. ... " ... by Vincent Granville

Finalists in Innovation by Design
In Fastcodesign: Some interesting examples of using data visualization design. Certainly eye catching, but more artistic than providing interactive and objective information delivery. I like the examples showing projected information delivery. Inspiring graphics.

Collection of Big Data and Analytics Presentations
David Pittman's selection of recent slide shares on Big Data and Analytics. He writes:
" ... To close out our week of looking at the most popular content from the first half of 2014, we turn to the royalty of shareable content: infographics, animations and presentations. This was unquestionably your favorite category to consume, whether it was on our SlideShare channel, YouTube or right here on IBM Big Data Hub. Let’s review what many of you were watching, “liking” and sharing. ... "
There is much great information here. I say that some of this information, in infographic form, is too dense for my liking. But still considerable value for review.

Infographic on Workplaces of the Future
Yes, there are useful numbers in this graphic. The topic is very interesting. And has a pointer to the origin of the sources. But I count only 8 readily usable numbers from the several page document. Its's bloat, and I cannot easily manipulate the numbers. Give me more information density.

Visualization of Telecommuting Data
A good data visualization of information about US telecommuting, with a strong ability to interact with the data. In the Tableau Public site. Much better than an infographic in display and adaptability for further study. Answering the question: " ... Is Telecommuting the Wave of the Future? ... Working from home may be the way of the future, as shown by Peter Kim in this viz published by Drew Hendricks of Forbes. Use the drop down filter to investigate different characteristics of the US population. ... "

Data Visualization and Storytelling
Does data visualization plus story telling equal infographics? It can be done, but often is is sloppy and non objective. How can you tell the difference? In iDatassist: About a means to address this. But are the stories objective?

Gaps in Supply Chain Talent
This came up in a conversation recently. The area is perceived as not sexy enough. Not the case, we need to work on attaching newest technology to the problems that are better defined here than in most domains. " ... With the more strategic role of the supply chain comes a greater need for supply chain employees who can meet the needs of a complex, global economy. Add to this the fact that many senior supply chain professionals are going to retire soon and you have widespread shortage of desired skills in the supply chain workforce. ... "

What Makes a Data Visualization Memorable?
Interesting piece in CGW: The title question alone gives me pause. I want to make data useful and objective. I also want a data visualization to be the knowledge infrastructure for dealing with data and its meaning. It's exactly the reason I often do not like Infographics, which mean to attract attention to data, and make it more memorable. Often obscuring the actual meaning. Give me a objective starting point for working with data, and support for further understanding it. Not attention and spin control.

Location of the Brain's Emotions
In Neurorelay: Intriguing visual. Having looked into this area I would be careful about direct implications. I have worked with neuroscientists in this area and there is NOT complete knowledge of the interaction of brain location and emotions. This serves as a useful list of locations and terms, and an outline of issues, but not explicit information. Remember that it is an infographic.

HR Infographics
Its a nice idea, but could be taken a few steps further. Just scanning these might be interesting for saving time. But matching them, again visually, to the needs of a task, might be yet more useful. I am further concerned about the measures used, and the general sloppiness about assumptions that are usually used in an 'infographic' Further, how can I make these displays interactive to better show matches between needs and values? Worth a closer look.

Six Degrees of Connection to P&G
After publishing a item about an infographic I liked, about products we buy, it was pointed out that some of the data was incorrect. That is true. But I was also pointed to another infographic about c-Suite connections to P&G. With the challenge: " .... Businesses are truly part of the world economy and this infographic shows just a handful of the ways that some of the big brands around the world are connected. Six degrees of Kevin Bacon is so passe. Try six degrees of Procter and Gamble for a real challenge ... " . I would point out that this is not an infographic but an interactive connectivity graph. The connectivity implied here is any former alumni relationship with P&G.

Mobile Consumer Behavior Visualized Simply
From POPAI: An infographic that Googe developed to illustrate mobile consumer behavior. The piece is low information, easy on your eyes, they say. Saving us from deep thoughts. With conclusions like: " ... Not only are consumers more mobile than ever, but they’re multitasking more as well. Is anyone else shocked that 86% of people use their phones while consuming other media? ... "
