Designers and Engineers

A piece on the relationship of statistical/engineering approaches versus design. Was also discussed in the NYTimes. As an engineer/scientist I know more about that approach, but there is clearly a need to mix the two. My concern in that design principles are two easily 'blinked' into accreditation, and the result adds to the executive intuition effect. There should be a balance.
