Much Less Mail

US postal service reports the largest drop in mail volume in hundreds of years. Not unexpected, but the statistics here are interesting. Paper mail, like many technological artifacts, will likely survive, but in far smaller quantities. Though Telegraph services were completely discontinued by Western Union at the end of January 2006.
