Developers are increasingly adopting intelligent, automated systems in the data center as they seek to offload manual processes in order to keep up with the accelerating pace of IT operations. ....

Using Bluemix Watson Cognitive Services
Want to see how to utilize the 28 APIs now available that derive from Watson, for your own applications? Or even determine what is possible today? Here is a self contained piece that tells you how to sign up for Bluemix services free, and how to do a data intense problem. Very instructive. Technical, but not overly so. This is the kind of approach that is being used by many students in schools worldwide who are being trained to implement cognitive services.

In the WSJ. Article on IBM's Cognitive Business group. Surprised the term AI is being used. Have not seen that used in IBM's materials. Term has been somewhat toxic in business. Decision makers now in a more show-me mood. I do like the re-emphasis on the connection of analytics to cognitive, which we pushed for years. " ... IBM’s New Unit Bets on Boom in Artificial Intelligence Division will advise companies on using IBM’s Watson artificial-intelligence software ... "
