LinkedIn's InMaps

I took a look at LinkedIn's InMaps visualization of my own business  connection network when it first came out.  A remarkable view of all those people.  Nothing very surprising,  A very big cluster around my long time enterprise connection,  and a number of much smaller ones situated on consulting and vendor relationships. it would be further interesting to understand how such a visual evolves over time.  And the trajectory of individuals and the effect on their careers.  O'Reilly looks at the maps in more depth and interviews LinkedIn on its findings.
