Soft 3D Printing via NIST

 All the examples I have seen up front are 'hard', seems a considerable update.

NIST Scientists Get Soft on 3D Printing  By U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology  in ACM

Standards and Technology researchers have developed a new method of three-dimensionally printing gels and other soft materials.

Researchers at the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology  have developed a new technique for three-dimensional printing of gels and other soft materials.The researchers used beams of electrons or X-rays, which can be more tightly focused and produce gels with finer structural detail. Because scanning electron microscopes and X-ray microscopes can operate only in a vacuum, the researchers addressed the issue of evaporation by placing an ultrathin barrier of silicon nitride between the vacuum and the liquid chamber.This approach could be used to produce flexible electrodes, biosensors, and soft micro robots for medical and biological applications.

ACM Bytecast: Donald Knuth on Computing

From my earliest days doing coding, I was reading Donald Knuth's legendary texts.  Now here is a free and open podcast interview with him.  Will be following.
