Harris Teeter said Monday that it was upgrading its Express Lane click-and-collect online shopping to include home delivery through a partnership with UberRUSH. The delivery option is currently in pilot phase at Harris Teeter's Constitution Square store in Washington, D.C., and is only available to consumers within a five-mile radius of that store. Grocery Runners Home Delivery
Brought to my attention via a door nob hanger: The Grocery Runners. A third party company that delivers grocery items from Kroger markets at scheduled times. Kroger recently started self pickup tests of grocery orders in the area, this is a potential solution for the last part of the delivery supply chain. Apparently only in (a limited) Cincinnati area at this time. $10 per order plus 4% of cost of goods. Seems to be well thought through. No doubt there is demand for this, how much is unclear.
